Suzanne's Art: A Journey

Suzanne is a lifelong artist and educator whose creative spirit has shaped every chapter of her life. In her earlier years, she worked primarily with oils and acrylics, developing a strong personal style and a deep appreciation for traditional techniques. Her artistic journey also led her to the delicate craft of restoring Native American pottery—work that reflects both her reverence for cultural heritage and her meticulous attention to detail.

As a teacher, Suzanne inspired generations of children to explore their own creative voices, always emphasizing the value of patience, observation, and joy in the process of making art.

Now retired and living in Flagstaff, Arizona, Suzanne continues to create with energy and heart. She has embraced watercolor painting in retirement, finding new inspiration in the landscapes around her. She especially enjoys plein air classes, where she can capture the light and spirit of the high desert.

When she’s not painting, Suzanne spends her time knitting, enjoying the company of horses, and staying active in the local creative community. Her life is an expression of the enduring power of curiosity, craftsmanship, and a love for beauty in all its forms.
